About Karen Reiss Medwed, PhD
Karen Reiss Medwed, PhD, is an assistant teaching professor in the Graduate Education programs, including the Doctor of Education program. Her research interests include faith-based educational leadership, teaching learning and curriculum, innovative educational technology, and, most recently, distance learning and Web 2.0 tools for the K–12 world. In particular, Reiss Medwed has studied the development of innovative practices for online course design and instruction for higher education and beyond. Her paper “From Traditional to Entrepreneurial” may be found in the EdITLib publications. Previously, Reiss Medwed developed a master’s degree program in religious education for the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. She also served as an assistant professor and the director of online initiatives at Hebrew College.
