Engineer your path to business

The Galante Engineering Business Certificate at Northeastern University provides engineering students the chance to enhance their technical expertise with essential business skills. Tailored for full-time, on-campus students, the program combines a focused curriculum with experiential learning, including workshops, seminars, speaker series, and site visits.

You’ll engage in a connected cohort, gaining real-world experience and building professional networks. Integrated into Northeastern’s multi-degree pathway, you can earn up to three degrees (BS/MS/MBA) by leveraging courses across engineering and business curricula. Plus, you can develop a personalized plan to align program activities with your career goals.

  • Earn both a master’s degree and an Engineering Business Certificate.
  • Participate in experience-driven workshops, seminars, and networking events each semester.
  • Transfer up to four certificate courses toward a Northeastern MBA.
  • Benefit from a connected cohort experience, fostering camaraderie and collaboration.
  • Create an individualized development plan to align program activities with career goals.
  • Must have a minimum 3.40 GPA and be a Northeastern undergraduate in Engineering.
  • Admittance to one of these graduate programs:
    • Engineering management
    • Industrial engineering
    • Operations research
    • Data analytics engineering
    • Construction management
    • Chemical engineering
  • Students should have at least two semesters remaining to fulfill program requirements.
  • Gain access to a robust business-based engineering curriculum.
  • Leverage programmatic enrichment and professional development events to enhance your learning experience.
  • Use Galante courses to count toward both your master’s degree and the business certificate.
  • Engage in the exclusive networking and support of a cohort-driven program.

Applications received after the stated deadline dates will be accepted and processed as quickly as possible; however it may not be possible to have a decision rendered in time for the applicant to begin taking classes for the desired term if admitted.

Applications submitted by the referenced dates will receive full consideration for the referenced term. Applications received after the referenced dates will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  • Students are considered for the program based on rolling admission. Complete the application by including the following:

    • Resumé

    • Transcript

    • GRE is not required for terms starting during the 2023-2024 or 2024-2025 academic years

    • Personal statement 

      • Please describe how you learned about the Galante Engineering Business Program and why you are interested, how you will contribute to the program, and how you will benefit from the program. (750 words max)

    • The application fee is waived for all new applicants applying to any of our Master of Science or Graduate Certificates for the fall 2025 and spring 2026 application terms.
