Tufts University School of Medicine and Northeastern University School of Law offer a JD/MPH dual-degree track. Both schools have long traditions of emphasizing the relationship between public policy and public health, responding to the needs of their urban communities and offering students exposure to faculty members who have extensive experience.
Northeastern offers the nation’s premier cooperative legal education program. All law students must complete four co-ops in different legal settings to graduate; students in the JD/MPH dual-degree track must complete at least one co-op related to public health. To be admitted to the dual-degree program, students must be admitted to both Northeastern University School of Law and Tufts University School of Medicine.

Prepare for success
Provide you with the practice-based knowledge, skills and experience needed to address public health problems and assume leadership roles in the field.
You’ll collaborate full time with working lawyers, contributing to the resolution of actual cases for real clients.
Your capstone project provides he opportunity to work on-site in a range of diverse public health practice settings reflective of your dual interests in law and urban public health.
