Program overview

A world-class online MBA program

The Northeastern online MBA prepares you with the advanced knowledge and skills you will need as a future business leader. Your degree, and the experiences you accumulate in the program, position you for career mobility and acceleration.

Our leading-edge core curriculum includes courses on data skills, global strategy, and innovation. It’s infused with content on emerging issues in business, business social responsibility, and the development of the human skills that are critical for success in the digital age.

For you, it all translates into powerful capabilities, confidence, and impact—and positions you for career acceleration. We’re setting a higher standard in the online MBA world so you can set a higher standard in the business world.

Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International—the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide.

  • Fully online-The program is 100% online, including experience-powered learning. Courses are asynchronous with optional live sessions.
  • Flexible timing-Our program is schedule-friendly for working professionals. You can complete the degree in as few as 18 months. Or adjust the schedule to meet your needs.
  • Customizable curriculum-Our 50-credit hour curriculum is divided into two segments: 21 core credits and 29 elective credits. Optional focus areas are business analytics, finance, and innovation and entrepreneurship.

Experience-powered learning is a key feature of the program. In the core curriculum, you’ll work on two real-world business challenges: one focused on competing in a changing business environment and the other on a business social responsibility challenge. The program further includes five credits of elective experience-powered learning segments you choose from a set of options.

In the first challenge, you’ll take on the role of a C-level executive grappling with setting strategy in a changing business world. You’ll work in a team with fellow students and consult with current or recently retired senior executives playing the part of CEO—and then make your recommendations. Based on feedback from the CEO, you’ll make adjustments. In the process, you’ll deepen your knowledge of the business subjects you’ve studied, learn how to apply that knowledge to critical issues in real-world situations, and hone skills, particularly the human skills so pivotal to business success.

All courses in the core include business fundamentals but also go beyond, delving into emerging issues and ideas in business. Courses also include business social responsibility elements and develop human skills critical to success in any aspect of business, particularly as digitalization proceeds apace. Innovation-driven strategy and global strategy are among the core courses.
