Higher education administration: Focus your studies on becoming a well-rounded leader with the theoretical and practical skills needed to succeed in higher education. Gain a deep understanding of the structure, governance, and operation of higher education organizations.
- The program is offered 100% online and can be completed in as little as two years.
- Interactive learning and group project-based work allow you to network with diverse professionals and build global connections as you collaborate to solve common challenges.
- Students and alumni of the program are invited to participate in the in-person Graduate School of Education residency in Boston, a networking opportunity where you can exchange ideas on innovation and change work in the field.
- The curriculum is intentionally designed to include DEI coursework in subject areas like social justice and demographics of the new college student. You’ll have the opportunity to learn about Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Tribal Colleges, and the pressing need for all-women colleges.
- ePortfolios: All MEd students create ePortfolios showcasing mastery in new topics through documentation, assessment, and integration of coursework with workplace experience. You’ll use this throughout the program, and after as a part of your personal brand.
- Required capstone: You’ll work with a “problem” within higher education for six weeks, conducting in-depth research on your topic of interest. You’ll also:
- Present your findings to two to three mid- and senior-level practitioners, who then provide insight on the issue.
- Perform a mock interview with a practitioner in the field and receive practical guidance—and sometimes land a job right on the spot.
- Write a reflection piece at the end of the semester and have the chance to map out a lifelong learning plan.
