Become a leader in AI

The MPS in Applied AI program will prepare you to proactively and thoughtfully navigate the changing AI landscape and its challenges.

The curriculum focuses on building and implementing AI and machine learning technologies, emphasizing collaborative learning, interdisciplinary innovation, and ethics. You’ll gain functional government and industry expertise, challenge your creativity, and learn to lead through real-world experiences.

This comprehensive approach, along with the opportunity to specialize your learning through concentrations and electives, ensures you are equipped with the computer science, analytical, and problem-solving skills to transform your workplace through AI.

This institution has been granted a consent by the Minister of Colleges, Universities, Research, Excellence and Security to offer this program for a five-year term starting February 26, 2026. Prospective students are responsible for satisfying themselves that the program and the degree will be appropriate to their needs (e.g., acceptable to potential employers, professional licensing bodies, or other educational institutions).

  • Unofficial, personal copies of transcripts from all colleges and universities attended; official transcripts are required at the time of enrollment.

    • The Foreign Credential Evaluation (FCE) is a required assessment of all transcripts and documents from non-U.S. accredited postsecondary education institutions. (Review the FCE requirements by country.)

  • English language proficiency proof

  • Two recommendation letters

  • Personal statement (500–1,000 words; pdf or Word doc) identifying your educational goals and expectations from the program; please be aware that the university’s academic policy on plagiarism applies to your statement of purpose.

In this program, you’ll build a comprehensive foundation in machine learning and AI concepts, methodologies, and applications and be prepared for careers as a developer, engineer, or data scientist.

Analytical competencies

Evaluate the efficacy of and employ advanced data analysis methods, data management technologies, and modern AI analytical techniques for public and private sector challenges.

Human-focused solutions

Integrate the theory and practice of human-computer interaction and usability to analyze and design solutions to key management and ethical issues throughout the data lifecycle.

Real-world applications

Apply strategic and effective analysis, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and leadership skills to implement ML and AI solutions in real-world situations.

Communication skills

Communicate complex quantitative information to different audiences using exploratory data visualization, dashboard design, scorecard design, and spatial data representation.

For students interested in pursuing financial assistance or educational loans, additional educational costs, known as Cost of Attendance (COA) components, can be included in the calculation of aid and loan eligibility.
