Program overview

A degree built around you

The D’Amore-McKim Master of Science in Management Online is a 30-credit program designed to be completed in 12 months, and it starts from a different premise than most graduate business programs. Rather than moving every student through the same sequence, the MS in Management Online is built around what you already know.

The core of the curriculum is four foundational business domains: managing organizations, data-driven management, strategy and growth, and finance and operations. Within each, you’ll select one course based on your existing experience level, from foundational to advanced. From there, five concentrations—artificial intelligence, business analytics, corporate finance, corporate innovation, and leading people and organizations—let you develop real depth in the area most relevant to your career.

Northeastern University is accredited by The New England Commission of Higher Education, Inc. (NECHE). The D’Amore-McKim School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International—the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide.

  • Select one course per domain from four core business areas based on your existing experience level so you’re building on what you know, not repeating it.
  • Choose from five concentrations in high-demand fields to develop specialized expertise aligned with your career goals.
  • Study 100% online and asynchronously, with no set class times and six start dates per year.
  • Enroll through the Fast App—no GMAT, no GRE, no minimum GPA required.
  • Work with a dedicated success manager from enrollment through graduation.
  • Complete the degree in 12 months without stepping away from the career you’re already building.

Earning the D’Amore-McKim Master of Science in Management Online positions you to move into management roles across industries—from technology and financial services to consulting, operations, and beyond. Employers are looking for professionals who combine business fundamentals with specialized expertise, and the MS in Management Online gives you both. Because the program is fully online and asynchronous, you never stop building the professional experience that makes your new skills immediately applicable.

How to apply through Fast App (performance-based admissions)

The Fast App is a streamlined path to enrollment—no GMAT, no GRE, no minimum GPA required. To get started, submit the Fast App on the Northeastern Online website. You'll need to provide:

  • Fast application form

  • Academic transcript(s) from your bachelor’s degree

From there, you’ll take two pathway courses to serve as your entry point into the program and your opportunity to demonstrate readiness through the actual work of graduate study.

Note: Students enrolled through the Fast App are not eligible for federal financial aid during their pathway courses. If federal financial aid is a priority from the start of your program, the standard application may be the better fit.

To apply, log in—or create an account—on our application portal, choose your program, and answer a few questions. You’ll need to submit:

  • Standard application form

  • Application fee

  • A personal statement (400–500 words)

  • Resumé

  • Two letters of recommendation

  • Academic transcript(s) from all colleges/universities attended showing a completed bachelor’s degree and a minimum 3.0 GPA from an accredited institution

  • Optional GMAT/GRE test scores
