Create a winning career in sports

The practice-oriented Master of Sports Leadership is structured to accommodate midcareer athletic administrators and coaches, as well as individuals seeking to prepare for careers in the sports industry.

Your courses examine social and business issues that are critical to sports leadership. This unique degree provides a well-rounded educational experience that equips you to advance your sports industry career.

Non-U.S.-based students are ineligible to participate in this program, as there is a one-week on-ground residency requirement.

Already a multibillion-dollar field, the sports industry is projected to experience faster-than-average growth over the next several years. Located all over the country, sports-related organizations and businesses require a variety of educated and skilled employees to manage day-to-day operations. While knowledge is crucial, success is often contingent upon your willingness to work beyond 9-5-with many sporting events and related activities taking place on nights, weekends, and holidays. The sports industry is exciting-filled with people who are driven by a passion for what they do and who are extremely satisfied with their career choice.

  • Unofficial undergraduate transcripts; official transcripts required at the time of admission

    • The Foreign Credential Evaluation (FCE) is a required assessment of all transcripts and documents from non-U.S. accredited post-secondary education institutions. (Review the FCE requirements by country.)

  • English language proficiency proof. Students for whom English is not their primary language must submit one of the following:

    • Official associate or bachelor's degree transcript from an accredited college or university in the U.S., stating degree conferral and date

    • TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, Duolingo, or NU Global Exam scores

  • Other materials may be required

Obtain approaches and techniques for effectively tackling ethical dilemmas and explore the legal issues related to equipment use, facility management, and accommodation for special populations.

Some courses and labs have tuition rates that may increase or decrease total tuition. Tuition and fees are subject to revision by the president and Board of Trustees at any time. Select programs at select campuses offer additional scholarships of up to 25% off the listed price for domestic students studying on campus. For students interested in pursuing financial assistance or educational loans, additional educational costs, known as Cost of Attendance (COA) components, can be included in the calculation of aid and loan eligibility.
