African Students Access Scholarship

A graduate in a cap and gown joyfully waves Ghanaian and Nigerian flags at a ceremony. He wears a colorful kente stole and glasses, smiling broadly in a large indoor venue.

As part of the Africa Global Initiative, Northeastern University has instituted the African Students Access Scholarship for academically outstanding students. The scholarship offers a tuition scholarship to meritorious students from African universities who have been admitted into a graduate program.

Eligibility requirements

To be considered for this award, incoming graduate students must be enrolled in a program that meets F-1 visa requirements with on-ground classes at any of our U.S. campuses. Students currently enrolled at Northeastern University are not eligible at this time.

Award details

The total scholarship amount will depend on your program of interest, but you may receive a 50% tuition scholarship for the entire duration of your program, provided you are in good academic standing. If you have other scholarships or education awards from other organizations, you can apply those to your program cost as well.

How to apply

No separate application is required for the scholarship. You must apply to one of the eligible graduate programs. If you’re admitted, you will automatically be considered for the scholarship.
