Where’s the Hand? An Introduction to Robot Arm Kinematics
Saturday, August 8 | 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. PT
Nivii Kalavakonda, Assistant Teaching Professor, College of Engineering

Discover how a robotic arm translates joint positions into the location of its “hand” in space—and tackle the more challenging reverse problem of determining which joint positions will reach a desired target. You’ll also have the opportunity to command a real robotic arm, testing these concepts firsthand and exploring both the power and limitations of the underlying mathematics.
